1. About us and these terms
garrisonfm.co.uk is run by Garrison Facilities Management Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17444832. Our registered office is 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ. You can contact us at info@garrisonfm.co.uk or on 07808 153514.
These terms set out the rules for using this website. By using it, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.
These terms cover the website only. Fire risk assessments, fire door inspections and our other services are provided under the written quote and terms of business we send before any work is booked.
2. Changes to these terms and the website
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and the version on this page when you use the website is the one that applies.
We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the website at any time. We do not guarantee that the website will always be available or free from interruption.
3. Information on this website
The guides, service pages and answers on this website explain fire safety law and standards in England in general terms. They are general information, not legal or professional advice about your building, and they do not replace a fire risk assessment by a competent person.
Each guide shows the date it was last reviewed. Law, guidance and standards change, so check the primary sources we link to before relying on any point. We make reasonable efforts to keep the content accurate and up to date, but we do not promise that it is complete, accurate or current.
The sample report is a fictional example. Any resemblance to a real building or person is coincidental.
4. Prices and quotes
Prices shown on this website are starting prices for the building types described. They exclude VAT and are an indication, not an offer we are bound to accept.
A contract only exists once we have sent you a written quote and you have accepted it. The quote and our terms of business then set out the price, scope and terms for that work.
5. Enquiries
When you send an enquiry, please give accurate details so we can price the work correctly. We may decline any enquiry, for example where the work is outside our competence or service area.
We use the details in your enquiry as described in our privacy policy.
6. Acceptable use
You must not:
- Use the website in any way that breaks the law or is fraudulent
- Try to gain unauthorised access to the website, the server it runs on or any connected system
- Introduce viruses or other harmful material, or attack the website through a denial-of-service attack
- Send spam, automated or bulk submissions through the enquiry form
- Copy content from the website by automated means for resale or to republish it as your own
7. Intellectual property
We own, or are licensed to use, the copyright and other intellectual property in the website, including its text, drawings, animations and design. Garrison FM and our logo are our trade names and marks.
You may view, print and share pages for your own reference or to pass information to colleagues, as long as you do not change them and you acknowledge us as the source. You must not use any part of the website for commercial purposes without our written permission.
Links to legislation, standards and guidance published by others are provided for reference. That material belongs to its publishers.
8. Linking to and from this website
You may link to any page of this website, as long as you do so fairly and lawfully and do not suggest any association, approval or endorsement by us where none exists. You must not frame the website on another site.
Where the website links to other websites, those links are for your information. We have no control over those websites and are not responsible for their content or for any loss that may arise from your use of them.
9. Viruses and security
We take reasonable steps to keep the website secure, but we do not guarantee that it is free from bugs or viruses. You are responsible for protecting your own devices and software when you use it.
10. Our liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be excluded or limited under the law of England and Wales.
If you use the website as a business, we exclude all implied conditions, warranties and terms that might apply to it, to the extent the law allows. We will not be liable to you for any loss or damage, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty or otherwise, arising from use of, or inability to use, the website, or from use of or reliance on its content. In particular, we will not be liable for loss of profits, sales, business or revenue, business interruption, loss of anticipated savings, loss of business opportunity, goodwill or reputation, or any indirect or consequential loss.
If you use the website as a consumer, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or our failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable. We only provide the website for domestic and private use, and we are not liable to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity.
Our liability for work we carry out is set out in the quote and terms of business for that work, not in these terms.
11. General
If a court finds any part of these terms invalid or unenforceable, the rest of the terms will continue to apply.
If we do not enforce any of these terms straight away, we can still enforce them later.
These terms are between you and us. No other person has any right to enforce them under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
12. Law and jurisdiction
These terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the website, are governed by the law of England and Wales.
If you are a business, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you can bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales, or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in the courts of the part of the UK where you live.
